We are then told that they are sometimes called “People of the Horn”.

Which makes no sense because their male Banes don't grow horns. They turn into stag-headed dudes who therefore have antlers

BANES: the religious leaders of the Avar people. They wield magic, although it is usually of the minor variety.

We NEVER see any Bane use any kind of magic. Ever.

ENCHANTERS: the magicians of the Icarii people. Many of them are very powerful.

We rarely if ever see any of them using magic either.

There is also an entry for “Avarinheim”, which just tells us it is home to the Avar, and the Acharites call it “Shadowsward”, and we get a reference to that.

"Sward" is an old word meaning an area of short grassland, so calling a forest this is absolutely ridiculous.

GOLDFEATHER: an Icarii woman.

Fun fact, in the original draft she was called MoonWalk but for some reason the publisher made her change it. 🙄

Now for the entry about Gorgrael. He is called “an evil lord of the north who […] will threaten Achar”. Not entirely inaccurate, but the phrasing is a little off. After all, according to the Prophecy, he will destroy Achar if not stopped, instead of merely threatening it.

Also he's not a lord.

“lord of Skarabost, a darkly handsome but somewhat dandified lord”. I… she actually put this in the glossary?! It was bad enough we had notes on how “foppish” and “dandified” he was, but putting it here?

I'm probably reading too much into this but it kinda feels like thinly veiled homophobia. Dandies and fops didn't exist in this time period equivalent anyway, FFS.
